Der erste ''World Congress of Families'' fand 1997 in Prag statt.<ref>[http://worldcongress.ge/content/11-world-congress-of-families Website ''World Congress of Families'' / World Congress of Families] (Abgerufen am 6.6.2017)</ref><ref name=work/> Das ''Howard Center for Family, Religion & Society'' ist heute unter dem Namen [[International Organization for the Family]] (IOF) bekannt.<ref>[https://www.splcenter.org/hatewatch/2016/12/19/national-organization-marriage-president-announces-international-anti-lgbt-group Hatewatch Staff: National Organization for Marriage President Announces International Anti-LGBT Group], in: Internetpräsenz des Southern Poverty Law Center vom 19.12.2016 (Abgerufen am 6.6.2017)</ref>
The rise of the Russian Christian Right: the
case of the World Congress of Families, Religion, State & Society, 48:4, 223-238, S. 225 [https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/09637494.2020.1796172 Link]; eigene Übersetzung</ref>"

Organisation

"Our mission is to help secure the foundations of society by uniting and empowering leaders worldwide to respect, protect, and defend:
* the natural family founded on marriage between a man and a woman;
* parental rights and the welfare of children, including their need for both a mother and a father;
* the dignity and sanctity of all human life from conception; and
* freedom of speech, religion, and conscience in an atmosphere of respect for all."[3]

The Howard Center for Family, Religion and Society in Illionis.

Partner*innen

World Congress of Family organisierte bislang 11 Kongresse in Prag, Genua, Mexiko City, Warschau, Amsterdam, Madrid, Sydney, Salt Lake City, Tiflis/ Georgien, Budapest / Ungarn und Chișinău / Moldavien[14][15][1].
